Slawa Prischedko
Graduated in Scenography and Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kyiv, Ukraine, the artist is a member of BBK Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. Over the years, he has received numerous national and international awards, including the Grand Prix at the International Watercolour Salon in Uckange (France) Prize of Public Watercolour Painting Awarding in Namur (Belgium),the Grand Prix at the 8th Biennial Art and Matter in Saint-Pierre-lès-Nemours (France), the Taylor Foundation Special Watercolour Prize at the Grand Palais in Paris (2020), Special Watercolour Prize, Grand Palais, Paris, France (2019) and the Géant des Beaux-Arts Prize (2026).
His work has been exhibited internationally in Europe, Asia, North America, and Indonesia, with exhibitions in countries including France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Japan, China, Canada, and the United States. His paintings have also been featured in international art magazines such as International Artist, The Art of Watercolour, L'Art de l'Aquarelle, Univers des Arts, Art Profil, Palette, and Galerie.
Workshop: "The Art of Emotional Watercolour"
Watercolour possesses a unique ability to capture fleeting impressions, atmosphere, and emotion with remarkable immediacy. This workshop is dedicated to the art of seeing the essential and expressing it through a minimal yet powerful visual language. Rather than focusing on meticulous representation, participants will explore how to create expressive paintings that preserve the freshness and spontaneity of the first impression.
Working with portrait and figurative subjects, participants will discover how an expressive watercolour evolves—from the first compositional lines to a complete and emotionally engaging image. Special emphasis will be placed on combining solid drawing skills with the freedom and spontaneity of watercolour painting.
A central part of the workshop is the wet-on-wet technique, which offers endless possibilities for creating subtle tonal transitions, luminous colour harmonies, and organic textures. Participants will learn how to work with the unpredictable nature of water, transforming it from an uncontrollable element into a creative partner in the painting process.
Throughout the workshop we will explore tonal composition, visual rhythm, the organisation of pictorial space, the use of focal points, and the expressive potential of a limited colour palette. Particular attention will be given to conveying personality, atmosphere, and emotional presence through a few carefully placed brushstrokes rather than excessive detail.
The workshop is designed for both beginners and experienced artists who wish to develop a freer, more confident, and expressive approach to watercolour painting.
The ultimate goal of the workshop is to train the eye to perceive the essence before the details, to trust personal observation, and to transform the immediacy of a moment into a compelling work of art. The strongest watercolours are rarely those that describe everything—they are the ones that reveal what truly matters.
Viktoria Prischedko
Graduated in Architecture and Painting from the Academy for Visual Arts in Kyiv, Ukraine, the artist is a member of the Professional Association of Visual Artists (BBK) in Germany. Her artistic career has been distinguished by numerous national and international awards, reflecting her dedication to watercolor painting and her distinctive artistic language. Among her most notable achievements are the Southwest German Watercolour Painting Award, the State Prize of Aiguillon (France), the Watercolour Painting Award at the Salon l’Hivernal de Lyon, First Prize at the IWS Indonesia, Prize of Public / Salon de l'Aquarelle de Belgique in Brussels/ Belgium, Prize of Jury / Salon de peinture et sculpture Annet sur Marne, Paris / France, as well as several jury and public choice awards in France, Belgium, and Germany.
Her paintings have been presented in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout Europe, Asia, and North America, including France, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Japan, China, Moldova, Ukraine, Finland, Canada, Indonesia, and the United States. Workshop: “The magic of the flow of color in watercolor”
The wet-on-wet watercolour technique is characterised by its unique spontaneity, transparency, and the fascinating dynamic movement of flowing water. It offers a wide range of possibilities for capturing moods, light conditions, and emotional impressions directly on paper. Through the conscious interaction between controlled artistic decisions and the natural flow of pigments, this technique creates vibrant colour transitions, subtle blends, and unexpected textures, giving each painting an individual and distinctive expressive quality.
At the heart of this approach lies the balance between large, partially abstracted areas of colour and carefully placed, lively details. This combination allows the artist not only to depict a subject, but also to reveal its atmosphere, character, and emotional presence. By reducing the image to essential forms and carefully chosen colour accents, the painting develops a concentrated visual language in which immediate perception and personal expression become more important than excessive detail.
The inherent spontaneity of flowing watercolour encourages an intuitive creative process and expands the artist’s awareness of colour, form, and composition. Participants learn how to consciously use the unique properties of water and pigment, develop intense colour harmonies, and explore the creative tension between chance and control as an essential element of artistic expression. By focusing on the essential, they create powerful compositions that convey presence, atmosphere, and emotional depth.
The workshop is dedicated to refining personal watercolour techniques and discovering new possibilities of artistic expression. Alongside developing confidence in the wet-on-wet method, participants will explore new approaches to composition, colour layering, and the expressive interpretation of subjects. The aim is to gain greater freedom in working with the medium and to strengthen individual artistic expression through the unique qualities and possibilities of watercolour.

Day 1
- Arrival Pesaro train station. In our commitment to making your traveling experience to Le Marche as easy and convenient as possible, you will be met and picked up at the train station (*see time stipulations) and escort you to the hotel. https://www.ilparcoducale.it/.
-Take time to settle in, unpack and explore before we all meet up. Your accommodation is within walking distance of shops, markets, restaurants, and village life unspoiled by time.
- Viktoria, Slawa, and our host and native Marchigiano, Piero Pagliardini, will welcome you over drinks and give an overview of the week to come. Then pizza time! Enjoy the best pizza in town in an authentic Italian pizzeria. End the night with a stroll, a nightcap, and a good night’s sleep.
Day 2
- Wake up to the smell of pastries and espresso. Enjoy a local breakfast at the B&B, then a morning workshop in the studio with Vicktoria and Slawa! 9-12:30 PM
- Walk next door to your private studio in the Duke of Urbino’s summer palace, a historical landmark and your creative hub for the week.
Non-painters will venture out for a morning truffle hunt with Piero or Alex. We will meet Nico, a local truffle hunter, and his best friend Stella, his dog. The hunt will take us through fantastic landscapes while hunting for black truffles and learning local traditions.
- Break for a light lunch (aka in Italy – two courses only).
- Afternoon studio/plein air session with Viktoria and Slawa, 2-6 PM.
*Plein air locations are carefully selected to be near basic amenities such as public restrooms and establishments to buy water.
- Non-painters. Take a visit to a Roman Villa with some 1,000 square meters of polychronic mosaics in the heart of Sant’ Angelo in Vado. The “Domus del Mito" was built in the 1st century AD. This is one of the great archeological discoveries of the last 50 years in Central Italy
- Dinner at the square in one of our favorite restaurants.
Day 3
- Enjoy a local breakfast of cappuccino and pastries (or le paste) at your B&B.
- Morning studio time with Viktoria and Slawa. 9-12:30 PM.
- Non-painters: Dive into village life in Urbania, including a visit to the famous “Church of the Dead” and other historical sites. Learn about Urbania’s traditions, spanning centuries, including its rich ceramic art culture.
- Break for group lunch at the studio.
- After lunch, a landscape session on site with Viktoria 2-5 PM.
- Return to the accommodation
- Late afternoon private wine tasting at a tiny, local winery (a secret, local gem!) that makes the only smoked Passito wine in the world!
- Dinner in town
Day 4
- Enjoy breakfast at Parco Ducale
- Morning in the studio with Viktoria. 9-1 PM.
- Non-painters free time to explore the surroundings or enjoy a swim in the pool
- Break for lunch on site
- Afternoon in the studio 3-5 PM
- Later Afternoon cooking class with one of the best local chefs in Urbania to make “pasta fatta a mano” and other traditional courses. Our class will be held in the spectacular Mulino della Ricavata, a 12th century mill that will leave you breath taken.
- Group dinner at the Mulino.
Day 5
- Enjoy a local breakfast at the hotel (have you tried the chocolate pastries yet?)
- Morning excursion to Urbino, Raphael’s childhood home, where we kick off our adventure! In a loose yet structured manner, we'll wander the main squares and winding medieval pathways. You will be immersed in local color, texture, and flavors (while eating everything in sight) as well as examining architectural motifs, contemporary art, and design, all the while collecting ideas that will inspire your art. Please bring your sketchbook and/or materials for an amazing plein air session in the city center and at a panoramic lookout.

- Light lunch on your own in Urbino’s city centre
- Plein air session after lunch and time to explore the city.
- Return late in the afternoon and relax.

Day 6
- Leisure morning and breakfast at the B&B.
- Morning class, on site 9-1 PM
- Non-painters, we will meet for an outing to Mercatello sul Metauro. Enjoy a light walking tour revealing all the hidden treasures of this charming village, including a stroll along the river to see its lagoons and mini natural pools (swim shoes recommended if you’d like to test the water!). Lunch in a very iconic place!
- Usual break for lunch at the studio.
- Free time to pack at the hotel.
- Meet that evening for a farewell happy hour and dinner. Share your art with the group and then raise a glass (or two, or three!) to our week in Le Marche. Cin-cin! Cheers! And a warm salute until next year!

Time Stipulations
- Pick-ups at Pesaro train station from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
- Depart Hotel at 10:00 AM on day 7. We will be at Pesaro train station at 11:30 AM.
- Pick-ups and Departures from other locations, or at times outside these parameters can be arranged at an additional fee.
- VERY IMPORTANT. We recommend booking a night or two in advance on the east coast of Italy (ask us for recommendations) at the beginning of your trip in order to make your arrival day more convenient. Please contact us for more details.
