- Harley and we will welcome you over drinks and give an overview of the week to come. Then pizza time! Enjoy the best pizza in town in an authentic Italian pizzeria. End the night with a stroll, a nightcap, and a good night’s sleep.
Day 2, September 14 PICASSO
- Morning workshop opens with a simple Picasso-inspired piece, designed as an engaging entry point into food art. Pablo Picasso serves as the creative reference, helping participants explore bold shapes and expressive composition. The session begins with Harley demonstrating the full process from start to finish. As he builds the piece step by step, the group observes closely while he explains his choices, techniques, and approach in real time. After the demonstration, each participant creates their own interpretation, applying what they’ve just seen while experimenting with their own style.
- Non-artists/ companions will venture out for a morning truffle hunt with Alex or Piero. We will meet Nico, a local truffle hunter, and his best friend Stella, his dog. The hunt will take us through fantastic landscapes while hunting for black truffles and learning local traditions. Afterward, we’ll make our way to Peglio, where a spectacular panoramic viewpoint awaits. Perched high above the surrounding countryside, it offers breathtaking vistas that stretch as far as the eye can see—the perfect spot to pause, take in the beauty of the region. And to make the experience even sweeter, we’ll enjoy a delicious cappuccino while soaking in the stunning scenery.
- Group lunch at the studio.
- In the afternoon, you and Harley will move onto a bit more advanced Picasso piece. This time he won't show the group how to do it but will guide you through it.
- Dinner in town.
Day 3, September 15 ANIMALS
- In the morning you and Harley will start with a realistic giraffe. Harley will show the class and then you will make your own.
- While artists focus on their creative work, companions can enjoy a leisurely exploration of local village life and the picturesque nearby towns. The experience includes a visit to the extraordinary Domus of Myth, an archaeological treasure featuring stunning ancient mosaics that bring centuries of history vividly to life.
- Group lunch at the studio.
- In the afternoon you and Harley will create a colorful parrot. Harley will guide you through how to create it.
- As the day winds down, the whole group will head to the enchanting Mulino della Ricavata in Urbania, an atmospheric 12th-century mill nestled in the countryside. Steeped in history and tradition, it provides the perfect backdrop for an authentic pasta-making experience. After crafting fresh pasta by hand, we'll gather for a leisurely dinner, enjoying the flavors of the region in one of the area's most distinctive and memorable settings.
Day 4, September 16 ITALIAN LANDSCAPE
- In the morning you will create the beautiful and colorful Positano. Harley will create the piece and then each student will create their own.

- In the afternoon the students will create Le Marche. Harley will guide you through everything.
- At about 3:30, the whole group will go to Valdericarte for hands-on creative workshops inspired by the colors and beauty of the natural world, followed by a delightful dinner shared together.
Laboratories:
- From Plant to Colour: Learn the basics of extracting pigments from plants, create a natural colour extract, and use it to make your own watercolor paint.
- Plantagraphy: Discover the art of botanical printing by transferring the shapes and natural pigments of plants onto fabric. Create your own printed tote bag to take home as a unique keepsake.
Day 5, September 17 RECREATION OF FAMOUS ITALIAN PAINTINGS
- In the morning you and Harley will create Raphael's Cherubs. Harley will demonstrate and the students will create their own pieces.
- While artists focus on their creative work, companions will explore the historic town of Urbania, celebrated for its vibrant artistic heritage and exquisite handcrafted ceramics. Wander through charming artisan shops, meet local makers, and admire their distinctive creations before visiting the remarkable Church of the Dead, an iconic and unforgettable landmark that reveals a fascinating chapter of the region’s cultural history.
- Group break for lunch at the studio.
- For the final piece, you and Harley will draw inspiration from the renowned Italian artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo, famous for his imaginative portraits composed entirely of fruits, vegetables, flowers, and other natural elements. This will be a more challenging and creative project, and rather than demonstrating it step by step, Harley will work closely with the group, offering guidance and individual support throughout the process to help everyone create their own unique Arcimboldo-inspired masterpiece.
- Group dinner in town.
